Data backup and protection
Regular backups and a clear recovery plan for data loss, human error, cyberattacks or system failure — so your business keeps running even in the toughest situations.
What data protection includes
Automated backups
Daily or weekly schedule — depending on criticality. No relying on employees to remember to 'copy the file'.
Cloud + local
Backups go simultaneously to a local NAS and secure cloud storage. If the office burns down — the data survives. If the cloud is breached — the local copy remains.
End-to-end encryption
AES-256 encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. You hold the keys.
Automated verification
Once a week the system tests that backups actually restore. You never discover a corrupted copy when it is already too late.
Points back in time
Restore not just the latest copy, but any point within the retention period — for example, a document exactly as it was last Tuesday.
Ransomware protection
Backups live in immutable storage — even if a virus encrypts your server, the copy stays untouched.
How we roll it out
Audit
We take stock of your data: what is critical, what can be lost. We calculate RTO/RPO.
Configuration
We roll out the 3-2-1 setup — local + cloud. In parallel with your work, no interruptions.
Testing
First recovery drill after 30 days. We make sure it really works.
Monitoring
Daily backup status on a monitoring dashboard. An e-mail report whenever something fails.
Technologies we use
Businesses handling critical data
Accounting, law firms, manufacturing, e-commerce — where data loss means operations stop.
GDPR data controllers
The data security principle of GDPR Article 32 requires a demonstrable backup strategy. We provide the documentation for audits.
Companies after a 'near miss'
Clients typically come to us right after they almost lost their data. Don’t wait for that point — we will come before it.
Frequently asked questions
Will our data really never be lost?
We design the backup strategy individually for every client, discussing and agreeing it with your management so it matches your business needs and risks. In most cases backups run daily, with the frequency adjusted by agreement. On top of that we keep offsite copies stored outside your premises and use trusted third-party backup solutions as an extra layer. The result: since the company was founded, we have not lost a single bit of client data.
How long do you keep the copies?
Six months by default. But we adapt: for some clients we keep 7 years (an accounting requirement), for others twelve months.
Can we restore data ourselves?
Yes — through a self-service portal for simple file recovery. For critical systems, together with our specialist, to avoid mistakes.
Does it protect against ransomware?
Yes, with a multi-layer approach: immutable storage (an attacker cannot overwrite the backup), an air-gapped copy (physically disconnected), and versioning. Even if the whole office is encrypted, we restore from an untouched copy.
Do our backups comply with GDPR and other regulations?
Yes. Our backup and storage process is built to meet GDPR and industry security standards.
What if we delete important data by mistake?
Nothing is lost — we can restore data from any previous backup point, usually within hours, not days.
